Big Gun Crash

Seems like there's still a bug in the Big Gun transition. This was a
known issue with ID's linux binaries ... After the Big Gun map Quake2
crashes. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm using the r0.0.8 release, btw.

Thanks,

Sean

Same here with r0.0.7. It looks like a cleaning dereference
a NULL pointer... If only Purify existed for Linux!

Assuming that everyone who had this crash was using savegames, I have just
checked in a workaround into CVS (quake2 incorrectly calculates string
lengths for savegames, so not enough memory ends up being allocated in
certain cases).

The latest CVS sails right through the end of the Big Gun map .... thank
you! Now I get to see what the rest of Quake2 looks like.
